You've no doubt seen the commercials.  Some online pet pharmacy claiming that you can purchase prescription drugs from them at "substantially lower prices" than from your veterinarian.  Just because it's on TV, doesn't necessarily make it true.  Our everyday prices on the most popular products are very competitive and in some cases lower than the online pharmacies.

Some of the online pharmacies out there have been known to do some unethical and in some cases illegal things, such as filling orders without a proper prescription from your veterinarian.  They may fill an order for heartworm preventative without knowing if the pet has a current negative heartworm test on file.

Some pharmacies may sell products from overseas that are not licensed for sale in the US.  These products don't always go through the same rigorous testing that products here are required to go through.

For these reasons, in most cases we will not fill a prescription for an on-line pharmacy.  We would much rather meet their price when possible and know that your pet is being cared for properly and getting the best, safest medications possible.
